Raymond James & Associates (RJA) has launched a southern New England complex, and has hired Bill Drew to manage the expansion, according to a news release.

In this new role, Drew will be responsible for overseeing and supporting RJA’s branches throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Northern Connecticut, the release said.

Drew joins Raymond James from Morgan Stanley, where he previously served as executive director and complex manager for branches in the greater Boston area. He became a financial advisor in 1995 at Smith Barney and transitioned into management in 2000, serving in various roles of increasing importance. He remained with the firm after the acquisition by Morgan Stanley in 2009, and in 2014 began leading Morgan Stanley’s Boston Harbor complex.
