A trio of advisors in Philadelphia that managed $500 million at Wells Fargo has joined Alex. Brown, a division of Raymond James, the company has announced.

Steve Kanteliotis, Stephen Gitter and Frank Brodsky operate as Kanteliotis Wealth Management. They are joined by Michael Gambol, practice business manager, and Frederick Daniels, investment portfolio associate. The team joins Alex. Brown’s Philadelphia office, which is managed by Robert Kenney.

Founding member and managing partner Kanteliotis said the team settled on Alex. Brown after spending years doing due diligence to find the right place to best serve their clients. “Even while transitioning in the midst of a pandemic, we’ve experienced incredible support and have been very impressed with the quality of people and the culture this firm brings. In a time of uncertainty, it is refreshing and necessary to have the resources and cutting-edge technology offered at our fingertips,” he said in a statement.

Kanteliotis, who started his career at Prudential Securities and moved to Wells Fargo in 2005, has been in the financial services industry for 22 years.

Gitter has been in the financial services industry for 39 years. He started in financial services at Drexel Burnham and over the years has worked at Prudential Securities, Morgan Stanley, and Wachovia Securities, which was acquired by Wells Fargo Advisors in 2008.

Brodsky started in the financial services industry in 1956. He served in Korea and Japan with the Air Force during the Korean War.

Gambol, a 25-year veteran of the industry, began his career at TD Ameritrade and spent 13 years at BlackRock Inc. before moving on to Wells Fargo.

Haig Ariyan, president of Alex. Brown, said he is pleased that the firm has continued “to attract high-quality advisors like Steve, Stephen and Frank, who were looking for a firm with that unique combination of a boutique feel and sophisticated service offered by Alex. Brown, backed by the support of a strong company like Raymond James. This high-caliber team is an important addition to the Metropolitan region as we continue to expand Alex. Brown’s presence across the country,” he said.

Alex. Brown was originally founded in 1800, becoming the nation’s first investment bank. Alex. Brown advisors offer financial planning and wealth management services for high-net-worth individuals and institutions.
