Raymond James & Associates said it has recruited a former Wells Fargo advisor who managed about $200 million to its employee advisor channel in Albuquerque, N.M.

Rick Ortega has been in the financial services industry for more than 18 years, and he worked at Wells Fargo as an advisor for 16 years. Joining him now at Raymond James are senior client service associate Amber Freeze and senior branch operations specialist Brian Dubyk. The team operates as Ortega Wealth Management of Raymond James.

Ortega said that after an extensive due diligence process, they found Raymond James to be the best fit for them and their clients. “The firm truly focuses on client goals and priorities and is backed up with cutting-edge technology and the support we need for us to properly take care of our clients,” he said in a statement.
