An all-female team has left UBS to join Alex. Brown, a division of Raymond James, in Miami, according to a release from the company.
Marina Tudela, Idalia Daguin and Gabriela Aguilar managed $280 million in client assets.
“We are three worldly, bilingual women from Venezuela who want to further lead the way for more women to get involved in the financial services industry,” said Tudela, a 28-year veteran of the financial services industry. She spent 20 years at UBS and the eight years before that at Smith Barney in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Explaining why her team chose Alex. Brown, Tudela said, “Our values are aligned and we know our clients will feel right at home and valued, as we do. In addition, the technology is very sophisticated and a great fit for both older and newer generations. It’s been very helpful, especially in the midst of a pandemic,” she said.
Daguin has been in the financial services industry for almost 24 years. Prior to her tenure with UBS, she worked at Citibank, where she worked on the banking side.
Aguilar, who has been in the financial services industry for 19 years, began her career in 2001 as an account representative at Commerce Bank. In 2004, she joined the personal banking division at Citibank as a relationship manager, and in 2011 she transferred to UBS as a vice president.

Brown’s Miami office manager, Eric Termini, said he is excited to welcome the team to the company’s Brickell/Miami market. “With over 70 years of combined experience, this group embodies the sophistication of a diverse team while always putting their clients’ interests first,” he said in a statement.
