RBC Wealth Management has recruited a Merrill Lynch team handling roughly $240 million in assets to join its Florham Park, N.J., office, according to a company news release.

The Keith, Carr Wealth Management Group includes Aaron Keith, a managing director and financial advisor who has 16 years of industry experience. Ryan Carr is the group’s associate vice president and financial advisor and has 15 years of experience. Karon Blue is the senior financial associate. The team specializes in holistic, goals-based financial planning for individuals and families.

Aaron Keith said that when the team was considering moving they did not want to choose between small-firm values and large-firm strength and stability. “RBC is the best of both worlds for our team because we have the autonomy to run our practice as we see fit, but we have support whenever we need it,” he said in a statement.

RBC Wealth Management noted that the Keith, Carr Wealth Management Group will be one of the first teams at the company to transition and open most accounts digitally, using RBC’s newly developed account opening and servicing (AOS) platform, which creates a paperless and streamlined account opening process for clients.

“During a time when many people continue to operate remotely, we’re grateful to have virtual resources and tools like AOS to bring ease and efficiency to the transition process for our advisors and clients,” said Steve Ornstein, director of RBC’s North Jersey complex.

Ornstein added that the team is well-known for being active in the community. “The value they place on the client-advisor relationship, as well as their commitment to giving back to their community, make them an excellent fit for the RBC family.”
