A duo of veteran financial advisors with $350 million in client assets has exited UBS for RBC Wealth Management in Cleveland, according to an announcement today.

Samuel Martello and Brian Sullivan head Westlake Wealth Management Group, which focuses on portfolio diversification, asset allocation and retirement planning for wealthy individuals and families. Martello serves as senior vice president, while Sullivan serves as first vice president. They are joined by Adrienne Kittle, senior registered client associate.

Martello has 34 years in the industry and Sullivan has 25 years. Both men spent 14 years at UBS, and they previously worked with RBC Pittsburgh Complex director Ken Ross at Smith Barney, which they noted as a factor in the move.

“The strong local leadership, combined with the firm’s smaller feel and advisor-friendly culture, made this the right move for our team and our clients,” Martello said in a statement.

Ross said Martello and Sullivan are excellent advisors and are committed to building strong client relationships based on trust and personalized service, which is a great fit for the RBC family. “As we gain momentum in the Cleveland market, we are looking to attract talented, high-quality teams like the Westlake Wealth Management Group,” he said.

In the U.S., RBC Wealth Management operates as a division of RBC Capital Markets, which was founded in 1909. RBC Wealth Management has $414 billion in total client assets with more than 2,000 financial advisors operating in 179 locations in 42 states.
