Rockefeller Capital Management has marked its expansion in Arizona with the addition of a former Morgan Stanley team that managed $400 million, according to a news release.

Legacy Family Wealth is led by senior private wealth advisors Kenneth Milano, Richie Schmock and Kent Weaver. The three men also previously worked at Merrill Lynch. They are joined by wealth advisor Alexander Barrett, senior client associate Laura Rider and private wealth analyst Abbey Mathew.

The team is the first in the new Scottsdale, Ariz.,office and becomes part of Rockefeller’s expanding Southwest division, led by division director Nathan Crair, the release saaid.

Milano, managing director, said joining Rockefeller enables the team to better support the individuals and families it serves with complex and sophisticated wealth management and family office needs. “With the uncertainty brought by the pandemic, we’re excited to offer our clients the firm’s platform of customized products and services created specifically with them in mind, and extend the firm’s family office services, asset management, and strategic advisory as appropriate,” he said in a statement.

Rockefeller Capital, an offshoot of Rockefeller & Co., was created in 2018 and backed by hedge fund Viking Global Investors. With the addition of Legacy Family Wealth, Rockefeller’s private wealth practice includes 35 teams with 71 advisors across its Northeast, Southeast, South-Central, Northwest and Southwest divisions.
