Snowden Lane Partners, an independent, advisor-owned, hybrid RIA and broker-dealer, has hired Jim Cannon as senior partner, managing director, the company announced today in a news release.
Cannon, an industry veteran with two decades of experience, was formerly an executive director with J.P. Morgan Securities, where he managed $150 million in client assets. He will be based in Snowden Lane’s Chicago headquarters.
Cannon, who earned a B.B.A. degree in finance from Loyola University and an M.B.A. degree from DePaul University, began his financial services career as a trader at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Chicago Board of Options Exchange. He is a former vice president with Credit Suisse, and has also worked for Bank of America.
In his new role at Snowden Lane, Cannon will continue to work with high net-worth individuals, nonprofit organizations, entrepreneurs and multi-generational families to preserve and grow their wealth.
