Magnolia Wealth Advisors, a former Merrill Lynch team with $500 million in client assets, has joined Snowden Lane Partners and will open a new office in Buffalo N.Y., according to a news release.

The advisors, who bring more than six decades of combined experience to NYC-based Snowden Lane, include Bill Markel, senior partner and managing director; Michael Schmatz, partner and managing director; Michael Kreuzer, partner and managing director; VeLisa Williams, senior registered client relationship manager; and Sharifa Mang, client relationship manager.

The team uses a goals-based approach and customized plans to achieve clients' financial objectives, the release said.

“Buffalo is a wonderful market and we’re excited to expand the firm’s footprint in such a promising and growing city,” markel said in a statement.
