Financial advisor Darrell Todd has aligned his firm, Southlake Financial Services, with JFC Financial to join LPL Financial’’s broker-dealer, corporate registered investment advisor and custodial platforms, LPL announced today.

Todd joins from Hilltop Securities, where he managed about $110 million in brokerage, advisory and retirement plan assets. He is joined by registered sales assistant Kinsey Chadick.

Todd, who has more than 30 years of industry experience, founded Southlake Financial Services in 2010 in his hometown of Trophy Club, Texas. He built the business by listening to clients and providing personalized planning and objective financial guidance to their client base of retirees, business owners and high-net-worth individuals, the release said.

The team chose to move to LPL after a three-year search. “All of our research and due diligence pointed to LPL. We are confident that we have found a partner that will create office efficiencies and enhanced client experiences,” Todd said in a statement. “With innovative capabilities, our daily tasks such as trading and managing accounts will be simple and quick, freeing up more time to spend with clients. We also really appreciate LPL’s extensive research department to help us pass along thoughtful market insights and investment information to our clients.”

JFC, a full-service office of supervisory jurisdiction (OSJ), formerly with Securities America, part of the Advisor Group network of broker-dealers, joined LPL last year.

LPL Financial, headquartered in Fort Mill, S.C., San Diego and Boston, is the nation’s largest independent broker-dealer.
