Raymond James has added a veteran advisor from Morgan Stanley with $115 million in client assets to its employee advisor channel in Birmingham, Mich., the company announced.

Renee Hof-Lacey, who began her career in 1989, spent 27 years with Morgan Stanley. Joining her at Raymond James is registered client service associate Bradley Brandon. They operate as Hof-Lacey Wealth Management of Raymond James.

The firm serves a variety of clients, including business owners, corporate executives (including an extensive network of executives for a large automotive company) families, retirees and female investors.

Hof-Lacey, senior vice president, wealth management, said being in this profession for so long, and seeing how companies and the industry have evolved over the decades, she felt like it was time to make a move in the interest of the future of her career, and in pursuit of the best possible support as she continues to serve her clients.

“Having never transferred before, I did not take a move lightly. After visiting Raymond James’s Women’s Symposium in 2019, and meeting with local and senior management over the course of my due diligence process, I knew that Raymond James was ultimately the right move for me. In the end, it was about the people, the advisor-centered culture, the freedom to truly own and run my practice, and the level of care for clients,” she said in a statement.

Raymond James & Associates Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Raymond James Financial Inc., which has approximately 8,200 financial advisors throughout the U.S., Canada and overseas, and a total of $945 billion in client assets.
