The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. has announced it has postponed the July CFP Certification Exam administration to September 22 through September 29.
The board said individuals registered for the July exam will be notified by email on or before May 31, with details on rescheduling their testing appointment to available dates in the new September testing window. If September is not an option, candidates can reschedule for the exam administration scheduled for November 3 through November 10.
Kevin R. Keller, CFP Board’s CEO, said the health and safety of exam candidates have been paramount and the board has been monitoring the pandemic and considered its impact on the CFP exam. “CFP Board did not make this decision lightly," he said in a statement. "We recognize the months of preparation many candidates put into preparing for the exam, and we appreciate their ongoing dedication and perseverance."
Registration for the September CFP exam will be open to all eligible candidates. Discounted early-bird registration will be available through July 28, with a final registration deadline of September 8.
CFP Board noted that exam administrations will continue as planned only if they can be conducted without compromising the health of exam candidates.
