Rockefeller Capital Management has added a former Merrill Lynch advisor who managed $325 million in assets under management in San Diego, according to a news release.

Charles Hartford, who began his career at Merrill Lynch in 2009, leads the Hartford Group as senior vice president and private wealth advisor. He is joined by Veronica Campanella, associate vice president, chief planner and operations manager, and Michelle Tardy, client associate. The team focuses on wealthy clients, including families, private businesses, and foundations.

The Hartford Group is the 72nd team to join Rockefeller private wealth division since its creation in 2018. Last week, the New York City-based firm recruited the Hablutzel Group, another Merrill Lynch team, with $850 million in assets Greenwood Village, Colo.

Rockefeller has 32 offices across the U.S. and London. As of December 31, the firm was responsible for about $95 billion in client assets across its three business segments: the Rockefeller Global Family Office (including Private Wealth Management and Family Office), Rockefeller Asset Management and Rockefeller Strategic Advisory.
