Rockefeller Capital Management announced that it has recruited  the Moore Group, a $500 million private wealth management firm in Dallas.

Formerly of Morgan Stanley, the Moore Group is led by managing director and private wealth advisor Marie Moore. Moore, who spent more than 30 years at Morgan Stanley, was recently ranked No. 1 in Texas and No. 42 in the country in the Forbes Top Women Wealth Advisors 2020, the release said.

Joining her are her son, Shawn D. Moore, senior vice president and private wealth advisor, who joined his mother at Morgan Stanley in 2005; Robin Barry, associate vice president and client associate; Emily H. Lumley, senior associate and client associate; and Cassidy Steck, associate and client associate.

“Our Dallas-based clients and their families will benefit greatly from the entire suite of the firm’s services as we help them navigate their financial lives through current volatility and beyond,”  Marie Moore said in a statement.

Chris Randazzo, president of private wealth management for Rockefeller Capital Management, said the addition of the Moore Group continues Rockefeller’s focus on recruiting and retaining the premiere financial advisors in the industry. “We believe with the strength of our services and capabilities, teams like the Moore Group will be able to deliver the full power of Rockefeller to their clients,” he said.

The Moore team is the 24th to join Rockefeller this year, and the fourth to join the firm this month, the company said. Last week, it added Amsler, Laborde & Bowman, a five-member team from UBS with $600 million in AUM in Houston.

New York City-based Rockefeller Capital, an offshoot of Rockefeller & Co., was created in 2018 and is backed by hedge fund Viking Global Investors.
