Two veteran advisors who managed approximately $300 million in client assets at UBS have moved to Raymond James & Associates’ employee advisor channel in Miami, Fla., the company announced today.
Ernesto Angueira and Eric Muñoz join RJA’s Miami office, which is managed by Mike Origlia and is part of the South Florida complex. Joining them are Nicholas Suarez, investment portfolio associate, and Natalia Navarro, client service associate. They operate as Alianza Wealth Management Group of Raymond James.
Angueira, who spent 19 years at UBS and 15 years in private banking with Chase, said they wanted to join a large firm with all the capabilities they are accustomed to but nimble enough to help them cater both to their high-net-worth domestic and international clients’ needs.
“To have the ability to manage a multi-jurisdiction and diverse business on one platform that is also technologically sophisticated was very appealing to us," Angueira said in a press release. "The firm’s ability to expedite the onboarding process for clients with ease is very refreshing."
Muñoz began his financial services career in 2000. He was a senior vice president serving clients at UBS.
Origlia said the duo’s shared commitment to expanding in the South Florida area and putting clients first makes them the ideal fit. “They are an outstanding, high-quality team and it shows with their combined 54 years of experience in the industry,” he said.
Raymond James & Associates Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Raymond James Financial Services Inc., which has about 8,100 financial advisors throughout the U.S., Canada and overseas, and a total of $828 billion in client assets.
